KING

King Burtt (born March 27, 1994), better known by the stage name KING, is an American rapper from Aurora, CO born to his dad, Jessie Burtt aka Dolla Ill and his mother Dawn O’Neill. Born and raised in Aurora, CO KING was gifted from a young age with talent, but through dedication and hard work he has been able to shine as an athlete and as an artist. KING’s father was a staple early on in the Colorado hip hop scene as the front runner for the group D.R.U.G (Dope Ran Under Ground. While KING always showed a passion for good music, his focus early on was in sports. KING excelled at any sport he put his mind to. He played starting QB in football and was heavily sought after by many of the top high schools. However, KING made a decision to focus solely on basketball. KING was a gifted basketball player and was recruited heavily out of high school. KING accepted a scholarship and played basketball in Oklahoma for Bacone college. It didn’t take long for KING to make an impact and become a force to be reckoned with.  KING loved the sport, but felt his passion and destiny lied elsewhere. So KING took up what came to him even more naturally than sports—he picked up a microphone and started to rhyme. KING first release was “I Go Hard” which had many of the local producers and studios wanting to work with him. KING focused his efforts on making good music and started to collaborate with family and became part of the PME MUSIC family. KING had a voice people wanted to hear more of and the propensity to write and deliver hit making “hooks.” KING co-produced and rapped on the PME PRESENTS GI FLOW mixtape, and PME PRESENTS RISE OF THE EMPIRE mixtape.  KING has done hooks and songs with Rocky Diamonds, Lil Flip, Tory Lanez and many more. KING continues to wow crowds and build his fan base.
